What is IEA
INSTIPER English Academy (IEA) is the centre of English development at INSTIPER Yogyakarta for the plantation and agro-forestry education sector. IEA provides an ESP curriculum, teaching programs, mentoring, activities, collaborations, and englishpreneurship.
Our edge is an interdisciplinary approach: every program is the result of more than one field working together — English, digital, agro-forestry, technology, communication, and business.
Flagship program
Our flagship: ESP for Agro-Forestry
English for Specific Purposes (ESP) has been a distinct field of English teaching since the 1960s, driven by the rapid growth of science, technology, and global business. IEA designs ESP for agriculture and horticulture — from field vocabulary to academic writing.
Our curriculum builds the four skills (reading, listening, speaking, writing) around real topics: soil preparation, seeding methods, farm equipment, livestock, and organic farming. Our needs analysis uses the TSA, PSA, LSA, and MA models.

Meet the Coordinator
A lecturer at INSTIPER Yogyakarta, teaching English for Specific Purposes focused on agro-forestry and agro-technology since 2018, and serving as Coordinator of INSTIPER English Academy since 2020.
Passionate about education, professional development, design thinking, and education policy. Holds a bachelor’s and master’s in English Language Education from Sanata Dharma University.
